(whenever I get my period, it reassures me that I am a woman)
My secret:
my period reminds me that I'm not pregnant, and this brings relief!
not that I even stand the possibly of being pregnant, but the thought fills me with such dread.
I think it's due to our culture, which often views pregnancy and especially children as a burden, an inconvenience, a hindrance in achieving success in life.
